Desire, decision, discipline and determination
I just downloaded my free ebook by Brian Tracy called "Six figure speaker" and in the intro the first thing I saw already intrigued me.
Brian, an authority on business and personal development psychology simply states to succeed you must have these 4 Ds:
Desire:
This is passion. This is what motivates you. What do you want? The bible says we are lured away by our desires. It also says God will give you the desires of your heart. This is the first step in succeeding. Write down what you want to achieve.
Decision:
You must then decide to follow through on getting what you desire. Once you've made a decision it is easy to start seeing incremental change just by the mere thought of deciding.
Discipline:
This is usually why people fail. It takes practice. It takes work. This is the way your vegetables portion. It's not fun. It's not sexy. But it must be done! Day in and day out.
Determination:
This is true grit. This is a resolve to never give up. To remain optimistic. This is when many people quit. They're tired. Worn out. They've lost momentum. You have to be determined to do it or die trying to succeed!
Isn't crazy how I could get all this info from one part of the intro of a good book. It doesn't take much , but it does take these 4Ds.
