Stallone : the rocky empire
I read an article on Stallone and his empires : the expendables, Rambo and his biggest , Rocky ,which has a new story "Creed", coming to theaters soon.
My favorite Rocky is the fourth one because it features James Brown "Livin in America". The original story is very compelling; the underdog is trying to prove himself, and we see him eventually earn it in the end.
You look at Rocky at the end and he is a bloody mess. Life can be like that sometimes. Stallone inserted a lot of elements from his real life in to the script which ultimately won him an academy award. His teachers discounted him, no one wanted him as an actor or writer and he struggled fighting all through school.
Faced with hardships of poverty , family problems , and a disability , Stallone fought hard and he did win in the end.
What can we learn from this? Don't let anything defeat you . Fight tooth and nail until you are a bloody mess. Maybe you won't win, but you won't lose either. Losers never try. They forfeit. They don't show up. If you fight you will learn; if you learn then you will go on to win in the end. I know it!
