I was replying to my beach body coach's post today realizing that for you to truly be successful in life you have to change your wants. Your wants have to align with your goals and your actions.
If I want to lose weight but I want to eat crap and not exercise that will sabatoge my weight loss goal.
In the same way you can't spend and save at the same time or want money but not work for it (unless you inherit or win the lottery).
The question how do you change your wants and desires? It's difficult but I find that you have to want something better in its place. If you want to save for a house you have to want the house more than you want to spend money eating out.
What do you want today and what sacrifices are you willing to make to get there. Sacrifices are hard to make but excuses are easy to make. Winners make sacrifices, excuses are for losers. Who do you want to be?
