Start with why:
Simon Sinek has done a great job of getting the idea of starting with why into my head. We want to know why we are doing something. In fact there are studies in psychology where people will not do mundane tasks for no reason for a long period of time. People need to know why. Luckily today though Jim Rohn taught me three follow up questions that are equally important.
Why not?
There are many reasons to talk yourself out of doing something but why not talk yourself into doing it. Anything new that had never been tried before that person had to convince themselves before they could convince others. The Wright Brothers made flying possible when their father thought it was only for the birds. They were able to get their idea of the ground because they asked, why not soar to our highest heights?
Why not me?
If one person can achieve greatness, why can't I? I can! If we learned anything from Roger Bannister, who broke the 4 min mile barrier, you can do the seemingly impossible and pave the way for others.
There is no reason you can not achieve what you desire. It can be you. Put your best foot forward and start attracting great things to you.
Why not now?
What is keeping you from starting today? Procrastination is the worst disease. We already have a limited amount of time and are prone to time constraints. There is no better time than today to start living your best life now. If there is something you want to do, do it! If there's something you want to be, be it. We are fortunate to live in a world where opportunity, information, resources and mentors are readily available; but you must seek them out. They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear. You are ready to learn today the things you need to do to start down a new path that will lead you to your future success!
